Meet the Team
Plena Integrative Health Center offers services for the whole body and mind under one roof. We are thrilled to have a team of caring support.

Leslie Gerrard, Psychologist, PhD
We all yearn for the freedom to live at ease as our whole selves. Life, however, often interferes in ways that we could have never predicted. My goal at Skylark Psychology is to help adults find their way amidst wide variety of concerns, including trauma, grief, adjustment, identity issues, relationship concerns, anxiety, and depression by providing individual counseling for the whole person in a warm, supportive environment.
I provide a collaborative, strengths-based, holistic approach to therapy, inviting you to bring your whole self to therapy sessions. We will explore patterns of interpersonal interactions that have developed over the lifespan that may influence your wellbeing, as well as experiences with culture and community. I have experience treating trauma and grief.
Please contact me if you are interested in having a conversation about your concerns and hopes for therapy. We will start by getting to know one another to build comfort and trust. We will identify initial goals for our time together and discuss ways to begin moving toward those goals. Contact me at my website.

Becky Bartells
Massage Therapist
Becky has been practicing massage since 2012 and has enjoyed every moment of the process, from living and learning the art of massage in Playa Samara, Costa Rica to creating her business in her beloved Harrisonburg, VA. She especially appreciates the interaction with clients, “trouble-shooting” their aches and pains and working together to accomplish both short and long term goals of pain cessation, relaxation and general wellness. In 2017, Becky sought out physical therapy to help with chronic hip pain that she was unable to resolve through massage or chiropractic. The PT was able to resolve her pain in two sessions and encouraged Becky to study the modality that she was using, Fascial Counterstrain. Knowing that this modality existed and was so effective, Becky decided she didn’t have a choice and started with the next available class. Fascial Counterstrain is the most challenging thing she has ever learned, but the results that she gets to achieve every day in her office are well worth the additional time, money and effort. This already rewarding career has become more rewarding than she ever could have imagined and for that, she is eternally grateful
